How to become a member?

You are invited to attend a meeting and go on a field trip with us and see how you like us. Membership applications are available at all meetings.

What benefits will I have when I join?

Membership in the Photographic Society of Orange County provides many opportunities to improve your photographic skills and to reach your creative potential as a photographer.

This is accomplished through participation in monthly field trips and photo Assignments, as well as periodic workshops and gallery shows.

Members are able to show photographs from monthly field trips and monthly Assignments at monthly meetings, and receive feedback and a critique of their photos to help improve their creative vision and technique.

You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with other photographers who share your passion for photography.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program.

Have other members of your family join for an additional $25 for family members who lives at the same address.

Eligibility to create a personal project and have it added to our website.

Eligibility to have your personal photography website included in our website.

Access to the club's Facebook account.

Access to the club's SmugMug account which is a repository of Members' recent work.

Last, but not least, we hope you will have fun.

Can I attend meetings without being a member?

Yes, you may attend meetings at any time without having to be a member. We suggest that you attend a meeting before becoming a member so you can meet some of the members and see how we run the meetings. There is no charge for attending, and you'll get to see members’ work.
Refreshments will be served at the in-person General Meetings.



What is the cost to become a member?

Effective January 1, 2025, membership dues per calendar year are $50 for an individual / $75 for a couple, payable on January 1st.
Dues for members who join after July 1st pay for half a year: $25 / $37.50 for that year only. Members who join after October 31 can pay $50 / $75 full-year dues and it will carry them over for the entire subsequent year.
